Taking place in the Hidayah I Hall of the Bengkulu Mayor's Office, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Bengkulu City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held a socialization event for the 2026 Kelurahan Cinta Statistik (Cantik) Program.
The socialization event aimed to strengthen the role of village heads and statistics agents throughout Bengkulu City in managing village statistical data. This year's Kelurahan Cantik (Beautiful Village) program took the theme "National Socioeconomic Single Data (DTSEN)" and the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). This theme is relevant because this year's Economic Census will be held, which in addition to collecting business and company data, also collects household socioeconomic data.
The socialization event was opened by the Mayor of Bengkulu, represented by the Acting Regional Secretary, Medy Febriansyah. In his remarks, the Acting Mayor stated that three villages in Bengkulu City (Rawa Makmur, Malabero, and Jalan Gedang) were selected to participate in the National Beautiful Village Development Program. He expressed his hope that the three villages would implement the program optimally and bring Bengkulu's reputation to the national level. On behalf of the mayor, the Acting Regional Secretary also inaugurated new statistics agents from the three villages.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bengkulu City Statistics Agency (BPS), Iin Inayati, in her report stated that the Beautiful Village Program is implemented annually with a different theme, necessitating public outreach. Iin also expressed her appreciation for the support and facilitation provided by the Bengkulu City government for BPS activities.
This outreach was attended by all sub-district heads, village heads, village statistics agents throughout Bengkulu City, as well as relevant regional government agencies (OPDs), as well as agents from the UNIB and UMB Statistics Corners. The material presented included the Beautiful Village Program, DTSEN, SE2026, presented by speakers from the Bengkulu City BPS, and the Transformation of the Beautiful Village/Kelurahan Program through the Petik Buahati Application (Bengkulu Merah Putih Love Statistics Village Portal), presented by speakers from the Bengkulu Province BPS.
