The Bengkulu City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held the second wave of training for prospective field officers for the 2026 Economic Census (SE 2026) on June 4–6, 2026.
The second wave of training was opened by the Head of BPS Bengkulu City, Dr. Iin Inayati, S.ST., M.M. This activity is part of the preparation phase for prospective field officers who will be conducting the 2026 Economic Census data collection in Bengkulu City.
Through this training, participants were equipped with an understanding of concepts and definitions, data collection procedures, application usage, and field task simulations. This training was provided to ensure prospective officers were well-prepared and understood before going into the field.
The second wave of training also included outreach from the Social Security Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). This outreach provided participants with an understanding of employment social security protection while carrying out their duties as census officers.
The protection provided by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of officers during data collection in the field. This is expected to provide a sense of security for officers in supporting the success of the 2026 Economic Census.
The training was closed by Associate Statistician, Mr. Ir. Sriwiyana Teguh Ananto, M.Si. After completing the training, participants are expected to be able to carry out their duties responsibly, professionally, and in accordance with BPS data collection standards.
The Bengkulu City BPS hopes that this second wave of training will improve the competence and preparedness of prospective field officers to support the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census, particularly in Bengkulu City.
