June 7, 2026 | BPS Activities

The Bengkulu City Statistics Agency (BPS) held the third wave of training for prospective field officers for the 2026 Economic Census (SE 2026) on June 8–10, 2026.

The training was opened by the Head of BPS Bengkulu City, Dr. Iin Inayati, S.ST., M.M. This training is an important step in preparing prospective field officers who will conduct data collection for the 2026 Economic Census in Bengkulu City.

Before the in-person training, prospective field officers first participated in independent online training through a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on June 5–7, 2026. This independent training was conducted using the GOJAGS Learning Management System (LMS) application from the BPS Training Center.

Through this training, participants were equipped with an understanding of concepts and definitions, data collection procedures, application usage, and field simulations. This training was provided to ensure prospective field officers were well-prepared before carrying out their duties in the field.

The training for prospective field officers for the 2026 Economic Census, Wave III, of the Bengkulu City Statistics Agency (BPS), was closed by the Regional Secretary of Bengkulu City, represented by Alex Periansyah, Assistant I of the Bengkulu City Regional Secretariat. The presence of the Bengkulu City Government at the closing ceremony demonstrated its support for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census, particularly in ensuring high-quality economic data that is beneficial for regional development.

During the closing ceremony, prospective field officers were expected to apply all the material learned during the training. Officer readiness is a crucial factor in supporting the smooth data collection and successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census in Bengkulu City.

BPS Bengkulu City hopes that this Wave III training will improve the competency and readiness of prospective field officers to support the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census, particularly in Bengkulu City.
