In his remarks, Dedy stated that this year, the Bengkulu City Government officially dispatched 270 field officers for the Economic Census (SE2026) to begin data collection on non-agricultural businesses throughout Bengkulu City. This activity marks the beginning of a crucial stage in mapping the regional economic database for the next ten years.

The Bengkulu City Government expressed its readiness and full support for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

Dedy added that the Economic Census is mandated by Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics. This data collection is mandatory and held every ten years to capture the real economic structure at the regional and national levels.

Dedy also encouraged the public to assist census officers by providing accurate data to determine the direction of future government policies.
