Abstract
In June 2020, Bengkulu City experienced an inflation of 0.04 percent.
Bengkulu City inflation in June 2020 occurred because of an increase in prices
as indicated by the increase in several price indexes for the expenditure
group. The expenditure groups that experienced the highest inflation were the
food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.96 percent; followed by the food and
beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.30 percent; household appliances,
equipment and routine maintenance by 0.28 percent; information, communication
and financial services by 0.17 percent; the health group by 0.09 percent and
the clothing and footwear group by 0.05 percent. While the groups experiencing
deflation were the transportation group by 1.46 percent; recreation, sports and
culture group by 0.51 percent; the personal care and other services group by
0.12 percent and housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.04
percent. While the expenditure group that looks stable is the education group.
With inflation of 0.04 percent in June 2020, the magnitude of calendar year
inflation (inflation rate) of 0.31 percent, and annual inflation (year on year)
was recorded at 0.87 percent.
