Abstract

In January 2023, year on year (yoy) inflation for Bengkulu City was 6.00 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 113.88. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru at 7.78 percent with a CPI of 119.97 and the lowest occurred in Sorong at 3.23 percent with a CPI of 112.02.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.76 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.21 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.30 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 4.79 percent; the health group by 5.36 percent; transportation group by 13.56 percent; the information, communication and financial services group by 0.43 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 5.53 percent; the education group by 3.26 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.77 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 5.98 percent.
Bengkulu month to month (mtm) inflation rate in January 2023 was 0.62 percent and the January 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 0.62 percent.
