Abstract
Bengkulu Province work force in February 2020
was 1,081,911 people, an increase of 42,652 people or an increase of 4.1
percent compared to February 2019. The population working in Bengkulu Province
in February 2020 reached 1,047,100 people an increase of 33,855 people or an
increase of 3, 34 percent compared to the situation in February 2019. The Open
Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Bengkulu Province in February 2020 reached 3.22
percent, an increase compared to TPT February 2019 of 0.71 percentage points.
In February 2020, 69.30 percent of the population worked in the informal
sector, and the percentage of informal workers rose 5.48 percentage points
compared to February 2019. During the February 2019-February 2020 period, the
highest increase in working population was found in the Transportation and
Warehousing sector which increased by 50.1 percent or 8,500 people. In February
2020 the working population who graduated from elementary school and below
still dominated employment of 395,241 people or 37.75 percent
