Abstract

The total workforce in August 2023 was 1,107,460 people,an increase of 31,345 people compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (FPR) increased by 1.10 percentage points.
The working population is 1,069,615 people, an increase of 32,119 people from August 2022. The employment sector that experienced the largest increase was the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Sector (16,239 people). The sectors that experienced the largest decrease were Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, with a decline of 15,608 people.
