Abstract

In April 2024, Bengkulu City's year on year (y-o-y) inflation was recorded at 3.57 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.41.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to the prices increase as indicated by an increase in the price index for expenditure category, namely: the food, beverages and tobacco category by 8.47 percent; the clothing and footwear category by 0.19 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuels category at 1.39 percent; furniture, furnishings and household equipment, and operation category at 0.27 percent; health category at o percent; transport category at 2.52 percent; information, communication and financial services category at 0.36 percent; recreation, sports and culture category at 3.50 percent; education category at 1.36 percent; food and beverages/restaurant provision category at 1.76 percent; and the personal care and other services category at 4.41 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in April 2024 was 0.16 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in April 2024 was 1.23 percent.
