Abstract

In November 2024, Bengkulu City's year on year (y-on-y) inflation was recorded at 1.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.03.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to the prices increase as indicated by an increase in the price index for expenditure category, namely: the food, beverages and tobacco category by 0.62 percent; the clothing and footwear category by 0.32 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuels category at 0.59 percent; health category at 2.09 percent; transport category at 0.52 percent; recreation, sports and culture category at 3.06 percent; education category at 1.82 percent; food and beverages/restaurant provision category at 2.28 percent; and the personal care and other services category at 6.66 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure category experienced a decline in the price index (deflation) were furniture, furnishings and household equipment, and operation category at 0.87 percent; and information, communication and financial services category at 0.53 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in November 2024 was 0.15 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in November 2024 was 0.87 percent.
