Abstract

In January 2025, Bengkulu City's year on year (y-on-y) inflation was recorded at 0.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105. 38.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to the prices increase as indicated by an increase in the price index for expenditure category, namely: the food, beverages and tobacco category by 3.04 percent; the clothing and footwear category by 1.04 percent; health category at 2.74 percent; transport category at 1.08 percent; recreation, sports and culture category at 1.83 percent; education category at 1.82 percent; food and beverages/restaurant provision category at 2.21 percent; and the personal care and other services category at 5.20 percent. Meanwhile, the housing, water, electricity and household fuels category at 11.03 percent; expenditure category experienced a decline in the price index (deflation) were furniture, furnishings and household equipment, and operation category at 1.81 percent; and information, communication and financial services category at 0.49 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate in January 2025 was 0.91 percent.
