Abstract

In March 2025, Bengkulu City's year on year (y-on-y) deflation was recorded at 0.01 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.23.
Y-on-y deflation occurred due to the prices decrease as indicated by an decrease in the price index for expenditure category, namely: the housing, water, electricity and household fuels category at 5.89 percent; furniture, furnishings and household equipment, and operation category at 1.68 percent; and information, communication and financial services category at 0.49 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure category experienced a increased index (Inflation), namely : the food, beverages and tobacco category by 0.10 percent; the clothing and footwear category by 1.62 percent; health category at 3.42 percent; transport category at 0.77 percent; recreation, sports and culture category at 0.09 percent; education category at 1.82 percent; food and beverages/restaurant provision category at 1.62 percent; and the personal care and other services category at 6.71 percent.
